Are you a proactive, detail-oriented communications professional with a flair for managing multiple projects? Join SunStone as our Communications and Media Coordinator reporting to the Chief Communications Officer (CCO). This role will involve overseeing the SunStone website, producing various publications, managing social media accounts, and maintaining media assets. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of juggling multiple projects with varying deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

SunStone Website:

Regularly update the website with the latest news stories, press releases, photos, and vessel information.
Ensure the website content is current, accurate, and engaging.

Annual Magazine:

Develop and implement processes for the production of the SunStone Annual Magazine.
Collect and produce content, coordinate production, manage reviews and editing, and oversee print and distribution in collaboration with external providers.

Employee Booklet:

Design and produce a SunStone booklet for new and existing employees and crew.
Ensure the booklet is informative, visually appealing, and reflects SunStone’s values and brand.

LinkedIn Management:

Create engaging content for SunStone’s LinkedIn accounts.
Maintain regular updates to enhance brand presence and audience engagement.

Ads/Artwork for Industry Publications:

Based on current brand guidelines, design and produce visually compelling artwork for industry publications.
Ensure all materials adhere to SunStone’s branding guidelines and messaging.

Media Assets and Rights Management:

Maintain an organized library of image and video assets for web and print use.
Ensure all media assets have the proper usage rights and are accessible to relevant stakeholders.

Crew News:

Design, produce, and distribute a monthly newsletter for crew members.
Collect relevant news and updates to keep the crew informed and engaged.

Press Releases:

Write and distribute press releases to various media outlets.
Maintain relationships with media contacts and ensure timely dissemination of information.

Complete ad-hoc tasks as requested.

Qualifications/Skills:

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the maritime or travel industry.
Excellent skills in English writing, editing, and proofreading.
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms.
Strong design skills with experience using design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or Affinity Suite).
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand development.
