Communication Curricular Internship

This role is a real-life example of purpose in action, putting marketing and communication skills in the context of Corporate Activism.

Sonae is part of an European project called Reskilling for Employment, that aims to reskill 1 million people in Europe by 2025, developed by the European Round Table for Industry (ERT).

In Portugal, alongside IEFP, SAP, Nestlé, Associação BRP and CIP, Sonae is leading the implementation of the PRO_MOV program, that is the deployment of the European project to our national audience and is responsible to assure its successful implementation.

We are looking for a person to join the marketing and communications team especially dedicated to the Reskilling 4 Employment project.

Core Responsibilities:

Contribute to the marketing and communication plan for the PRO_MOV brand: PR, Website, Events, Contents;

Work alongside the communication agency to develop marketing materials in an effective and consistent manner;

Leverage the partners communication channels as tools to amplify the reach of PRO_MOV marketing plan and to serve as endorsers to build its credibility;

Contribute to the strategy and definition of the communication plan;

Besides the core function, this role also includes the responsibility for being Sonae’s communication point of contact with key associations, as well as specific joint projects where Sonae is part of a syndicate of partners or has a specific link with other entities.

Key skills:

Writing: Messaging is at the heart of our brand strategy, so having strong writing skills will be key to develop effective messaging and build unique stories about Sonae.

Communication: You’ll need to efficiently express yourself ensuring clarity and passion about your strategic recommendations to the team and stakeholders.

Strategy: Developing or improving upon a branding strategy means understanding the context, how the brand fits within it, and how to deliver efficiently its positioning.

Adaptability: The context is constantly changing, and it helps if you can be adaptable. More than that, staying curious about what is happening, and new global trends can help you develop a more responsive brand strategy.

Planning and Organization: The ability to plan and organize is essential for productivity as well as short time reaction, allowing for better time and task management.

Main requirements:

Finalist in management, marketing or a related field

Communication and interpersonal skills

A good mix of analytical thinking and creative flair

Fluent in English, written and spoken
