Function Description

The Integrated Pest Control Manager will be responsible for overseeing pest control operations and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations in cannabis cultivation for medical purposes. Reporting to the master grower, this role is critical for success in our greenhouse operations and compliance with sector demands.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain the Integrated Pest Management Policy insuring an environmentally friendly and effective plan.

• Schedule technicians for preventative maintenance, follow ups and pest requests

• Develop an Integrated Pest Management Plan

• Respond and complete pest control work orders or preventive maintenance in accordance with the Integrated Pest Management Plan by Identifying target pest and treating, monitoring or trapping accordingly.

• Troubleshoot Pest Control Issues and plan follow ups.

• Ensure that work is completed accurately and on time, while maintaining production.

• Maintain pest control records and ensure daily compliance with all applicable regulations.

• Conduct safety meetings, train on proper equipment usage, and inspect tools and work areas.

• Interact closely with other departments to ensure success of quality control and external inspections.

• Perform daily inspections and help maintain a safe work environment.

• Maintain and repair pest control sprayers and equipment.

• Research and develop new innovative techniques and procedures according to new data and technology.

• Prepare technical information reports on structural pest control which includes summarizing, analyzing, and reporting pest management inspection data.

 

Requirements:

Higher education in Agronomic Engineering or similar

Experience in equivalent role in the Agricultural Sector (min 2 years)

Fluency in the English language (preferred)

Sense of responsibility
